If you submit these to us electronically, we will confirm with you directly that we have it on file and you do not need to bring a hard copy. If you do not submit electronically with us, you MUST bring hard copies when you come to tryouts. If you think you submitted electronically but did not receive confirmation from us that we have it on file, please reach out to us at admin@eclipsevbc.com.

  1. USAV Medical Authorization Form
  2. Concussion and Sudden Cardiac Arrest Acknowledgement
  3. Digital copy of your USAV membership
Please be dressed in athletic clothing that allows you to move comfortably - leggings/shorts, tshirt, court shoes (close-toed, gym-appropriate), etc. Knee pads are highly recommended. Don't forget a water bottle, and always bring a positive attitude!

Be ready to work hard and have fun! Our coaches only have a limited amount of time to evaluate all players, so will be running fast-paced drills to see each player's skill level, attitude, and ability to work on a team. We will assign each player a number before tryouts begin in order to keep track of names. These may be pinned to your shirt with safety pins, so please wear something you don't mind having pins in. Give us your best effort, but don't put too much pressure on yourself! We want to see your highest potential, and we understand that nerves may get in the way of performance. Don't sweat the small stuff - attitude and confidence are just as important as physical ability!

Tryouts will be closed to parents - no spectators are allowed inside the gym where tryouts are held (you may stay in the lobby or similar area, just not courtside). Please stay close by in case a player or coach has a question. If we have a large number of players trying out, we reserve the right to dismiss a few players early in order to maximize the time we have. We will try to have someone from Eclipse around to answer questions, but please understand that all our coaches will be very busy running tryouts!

After tryouts are concluded, coaches will make one of three decisions:

  1. An offer to sign with one of Eclipse's teams - this comes with an official Letter of Commitment that, if accepted, is a contract between the player and Eclipse. Congratulations! This means that should you choose to accept, you are officially part of the Eclipse family. You may choose to accept or deny on the spot. All offers made on Sunday tryouts will expire at 8am the next day (Monday). If we do not hear from you before your offer expires, we will offer your spot to another player.
Please note: a $500 deposit is due at the time of offer acceptance, payable by check or online (online link will be provided at the time of signing). This deposit will be applied to your total club dues for the season. Club dues for the 2026-27 season are $3000, which includes player packs and tournament registration. A USAV player membership is required and NOT included in club dues (approximately $75).
  2. Waitlist (alternates) - we may offer a player a spot on our waitlist. This is not an official offer of commitment; however, should a spot become available, we will reach out directly to our waitlist players - so, please be patient! Players with offers will have a limited window of time in which to make their decision. If we do not hear from them, we will be reaching out directly to alternates with an offer for a spot.
  3. No offer - unfortunately, we may not be able to offer a spot on a team to every player who comes to tryouts. If we do not make an offer, we will try to provide feedback on opportunity for improvement. Players who do not receive offers are still welcome to sign up for our clinics or private sessions to prepare for future tryouts!
